Prop 65 is a warning label printed on our product packaging. Firstly, we would like to clarify that Catalyst products are safe for use on an everyday basis, however we had to comply with California Proposition 65 since failure to comply could result in fines and civil action suits in the millions of dollars: http://oehha.ca.gov/proposition-65
The reason we include a warning label is to comply with the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. Usually, when the OEHHA adds a new chemical to the list, a minimum safe level of that chemical is also provided, however the OEHHA recently added BPA and has not yet issued any limit for this chemical.
Hence, we have chosen to add a Prop 65 warning label for Catalyst products that contain any detectable level of BPA [the minimum detectable level by our test labs is 0.1 mg/kg (milligram per kilogram).
BPA is a basic building block to Polycarbonate so anything made of PC will contain trace levels of BPA. There are all sorts of everyday products are made of polycarbonate, such as luggage, CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, sunglasses, swimming goggles, scuba masks, safety glasses, sporting helmets/masks, automobile parts, and phones including the Samsung Galaxy and iPhone 5C.

While the Catalyst Waterproof Case is designed to protect the iPhone and its capacitive touchscreen, the touchscreen of the iPhone will not work when submerged in a conductive liquid such as water (as it cannot distinguish your finger from the surrounding water).
To take photos when underwater, you can use the volume up button as your camera shutter and for videos, you can preset the camera under video mode before entering underwater.
Follow all instructions and do a water test beforeyou use your Catalyst Waterproof Case for the first time, before using it underwater, or after a drop or impact, do a water test. Watch out for the following 3"Ifs":
If you see air bubbles, remove the case from the water & inspect where the bubbles originated to see if the case is closed properly.
If the O-ring is misaligned, twisted, dirty or damaged, or the plug is not fully closed until flush with the bottom, or the case is damaged, it may not be waterproof.
If there is any small grain of sand or hair that might disrupt the seal of the O-ring, this may affect the degree of waterproofness of your case. Clean any hair, lint, or dust on the O-ring or on the plug by washing with water.
You can also clean the O-ring groove on the case back using a Q-tip.
Yes, you can! Our case uses Catalyst True Sound Acoustics technology to transmit clear sound to and from the device to the surroundings using air and water tight acoustic membranes to ensure the waterproofness is not compromised at the same time.
You can also make hands-free calls using your Apple headphones or a Bluetooth headset or plug in your Apple set or other aftermarket straight headset directly into the bottom of the phone.
- If you have a third-party headset that uses a L-shared or very large diameter plug (>6mm), you can use an optional headphone adapter to connect other headsets.(We have the largest sized ports since we tried to accommodate most headphone jacks so that you don’t need an extra accessory for your accessory).
Generally, we suggest customers to clean our cases with mild soap and warm water. Most stains can be removed using this method. The products can then be air dried or dried lightly with a non-abrasive, lint-free cleaning cloth.
Absolutely not! Our unique screen-less housing allows for unhindered access to the Apple Watch touchscreen and Force Touch features as well as make sure that features including the heart rate sensors, inductive magnetic charge dock, microphone and speaker still work through the case even though they are protected by the case.
Yes, you can use it for bathing, surface swimming and shallow snorkelling. However, water pressure can change quickly, such as when you move your arm to begin swimming. Avoid pressing buttons on the device while it is underwater as this can increase the pressure on the case and could allow water to enter into the casing and damage the device
No, since the touchscreen of the Apple Watch is a capacitive touchscreen just like the iPhone.
Capacitive touchscreen displays rely on the electrical properties of the human body to detect when and where on a display the user touches. Since water is also capacitive, it means the screen is fully activated when under water like one giant finger is on top of the whole screen at once. Sometimes water drops on the screen may also confuse where the input is coming from.
Our case is not compatible with the Apple Smart Keyboard and won't fit around our case. To allow access for the Apple Smart Cover, we would have had to design our own ‘Catalyst keyboard’ which would mean additional cost for you.
However, any inexpensive Bluetooth keyboard will work with the iPad Pro and we include a 4 position stand with our case for multiple viewing angles. We don't think you'll miss the smart cover feature. You can check out Bluetooth keyboard options on Amazon.
No, we have not included an insert point for the Apple Pencil. We had earlier considered integration for this feature but unfortunately it would have required us to make the case thicker plus the pencil itself is not waterproof or drop proof. Meaning if you dropped your case or were in water, your Apple Pencil may not have been safe and therefore we did not add the insert point.
Yes, the Apple Pencil can be charged or reconnected with the iPad without removing the case.
To charge your Apple Pencil, use the adapter that comes with the Apple Pencil and plug one side into the pencil and the other into the Apple Lightning cable. The adapter will help charge your Apple Pencil without having to directly plug it into your iPad.
To reconnect your Apple Pencil with the iPad, simply follow the steps below.
Turn ON the Bluetooth on the iPad. At this stage, the Apple Pencil will show as (not connected).
Now, plug the Apple Pencil in to the adapter and the other side to a lightning cable that leads to the charging port (either a USB port of a computer, powerbank or power socket).
If the Apple Pencil has battery, it will reconnect immediately and you can remove the adapter. However, if the Apple Pencil is out of battery, it will take a minute before it reconnects.

No, you are required to remove any screen protector or skin from your iPad before using the waterproof case. The Catalyst Waterproof Case for iPad/iPad Pro/Mini are precision built to fit the device exactly.
A screen protector may prevent the case from closing properly which will result in making the device not waterproof.
Once you have placed your order, the order will be processed within 1-2 business day standard processing time by our third-party fulfillment center. Orders placed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas day will not be processed until the morning of the following business day. Once your order is processed, you will receive an email confirming the tracking number for your shipment by our third-party fulfillment center to your address in the Canada.

Normally, you will receive confirmation email from us after placing an order through our online store. Shipment tracking will be emailed separately after the order has been fulfilled within 1-2 business days (excluding pre-orders).

If this occurs, the customer will not be charged. It will take on approximately 2-3 business days for the pre-authorized charge to disappear. In certain cases, it takes several days for the charges to go away depending on the credit card issuing back.

Catalyst® Lifetime Warranty Catalyst offers a limited lifetime warranty for all Catalyst screen protectors excluding glass screen protectors. This warranty is only valid for screen protectors that are considered defects. Defect is defined as an imperfection or flaw that is produced by a manufacturing error. Accidental drops, installation failures, etc. caused by the owner are not covered under this warranty.
